The match will be played in Sheveningen format, where  each play all players from the opposing camp. The time control is 25 minutes per player.

Topalov defeats Kamsky in the challengers match
to clash with Anand for world title championship 2009

GM Veselin Topalov won the Chess Challengers match in Sofia against GM Gata Kamsky. After 7 games Topalov achieved 4,5 points, which is enough to advance to the next phase. This gives him the right to challenge Vishwanathan Anand for the World Chess Championship 2009 title.
